As of a Book

James Buss will show three physically diverse but conceptually linked bodies of work in his Los Angeles solo exhibition debut. Buss makes small almost photo-realistic drawings on large white panels, casts simple, mostly monochromatic slabs in plaster, and creates abstract ink markings in sketchbooks all in service of exploring memory and sensation. Buss's work creates the trace from which the viewer must construct the experience.
