Erin Cosgrove: Capitalism Must Fund It's Own Demise!
Capitalism Must Fund Its Own Demise!
The show is accompanied a by catalog entiled: "A Hundred Flowers Have Bloomed, A Reader's Guide to Erin Cosgrove's The Baader-Meinhof Affair"
Erin Cosgrove's Los Angeles debut will feature drawings and digital images that are part of the larger Seven Romance Novels project. The first published novel in the series, The Baader-Meinhof Affair, is a self proclaimed 'romance manifesto' set in an exclusive East coast college where the young and the restless satisfy their revolutionary longings by channeling the ghosts of the German Baader-Meinhof gang. The current exhibition is comprised of large-scale drawings that pose as illustrations from the novel, complimented by legends that simultaneously elucidate and obfuscate the drawings, and a Baader-Meinhoff Affair Timeline that ultimately posits The Baader-Meinhof Affair as fate with all of history paving the way to its inception. The exhibition will be supplemented by a new publication entitled A Hundred Flowers Have Bloomed, A Reader's Guide to the Baader-Meinhof Affair.
Screening: Thursday, April 8th, 7-8:30pm Continuous Screening of Erin Cosgrove's video "A Heart Lies Beneath”: a 7 minute pilot starring Fabio for the Sundance Channel’s TVlab.
