Two Harbors

In his solo debut Matthew May will exhibit four large-scale photographic works of harbors, each of which are made up of over twenty images and in some cases as much as sixty images. The panoramic images of San Pedro and Rotterdam harbors convey the composition of the landscape as one moves from section to section. While all the images are shot in a relatively short time span the images convey a sense of passing time and evolving narrative as well as the physicality and scope of the harbors
