Michael Pierzynski: I Was Born & I Was Dead

I Was Born & I Was Dead

Michael Pierzynski will be exhibiting painted ceramic sculptures and text works that continue his articulations of extraordinary worlds. While drawing from a wide range of sources including eastern religious art, classical sculpture, surrealist painting, and ceramic kitsch, Pierzynski’s sculptures create unique visual and conceptual hybrids. Using forms such as eggs, mountains, skulls, and trees Pierzynski’s work is involved with the utopian, the exotic, the mythic, the surreal, and the transcendental while always maintaining a foot in the everyday.
